Welcome To Comesalsa

Comesalsa is the first salsa social dance club that was started by our very own “bricklayer” Thabo Moloto in Johannesburg in the year of February 2007 where he amongst a few other instructors predominantly taught and continue to teach Cuban salsa. It is an exciting and fun space where people of different communities come together to learn how to dance Cuban salsa, Kizomba and ocassionally we delve into semba and Bachata dance styles as well.

Comesalsa is based in various locations to cater for various travel needs. On Wednesdays we are at Q.ba restaurant in Edenvale. The classes are divided into beginner, improver and intermediate levels which all run simultaneously. The more advanced you become, the quicker you will move up levels. After every class there is a free social where all dance students get to practise what they have learnt in the class as well as have the opportunity to mingle and get to know fellow dance students.

There are no longer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Come salsa focuses on harnessing the dance culture through friendships and social dance skills. There is no such thing as “two left feet”. We are all capable and able as far as we are determined.

Thabo

Bricklayer, teacher and mentor. Dance enthusiast and amazing company. First Cuban salsa dancer in South Africa to go overseas.

Melissa

Silent hulk and quirky personality. Nothing short of extraordinary.

Kim

Bursting with greatness and true passion for people. Kimmy cool is the juice that keeps the balls rolling. Amazing, gifted and loveable.

Delicia

Fun, spiritual and dance lover. Lives, eats and breathes Kizomba and salsa. There is nothing like being part of the Come Salsa dance family.

Dineo

Dj Soulfire Dee. No one has a bigger personality that the very first female Dj on the Gauteng (and possibly SA’n ) salsa scene. She makes music that touches your soul and adds a beat in your step.

Ryan

Enjoys salsa for that festive feeling. Play a couple of old school Cuban songs and/or start a rueda and he is “There like a bear”. There is something special about getting lost amongst a crowd of salsa dancers who are all moving to the same beat… Can’t explain it… you will have to see for yourself!

Poki

Crazy, fun and never ceases to surprise you. Also a Dj and team player for Come salsa. Never a dull moment when Dj Pokito is in the house.

Lance

Passionate about dance and carrying laughter wherever he goes. Truly great company and a kindred spirit.
